Book group

29 07 2006

Had a nice day. Skipped the gym as I was still a bit sore after my Pump class yesterday. Did some washing (beautiful sunny day here), did my Menu plan for August and tidied up a bit. Then had book group this afternoon which I always enjoy - so much so I plan other events around it so I don’t have to miss a meeting. Bought too many books - there are so many good new romances coming out. I’ll need to learn how to read faster :-).
We watched Tristan & Isolde last night. It was great movie - only thing I didn’t like was the ending.

Wet Wednesday

26 07 2006

Well, as the title suggests it’s been a very wet Wednesday. I good day for staying at home, which I did besides dropping the kids at school and going to the gym. Didn’t seem to get a lot achieved - did a bit of scrapbooking, did a few jobs, spent time of the computer. I’ve been feeling a bit down and not in control of life and my house - though the house is actually suprisingly under control. Maybe it’s just a case of winter blues I don’t know. Hope it goes away soon though.

It's been a while

24 07 2006

Well, it’s been a while since I updated my blog because something was wrong with the program I’m using and I had to wait for Kevin to fix it.
Don’t think anything very exciting has happened - though Amy’s cheerleading team did win first place in both the poms and cheer at the State Titles in Sydney. She was pretty pleased with herself, as she should be. I also got to see Pirates of the Carribean II. I loved it, but not quite as much as the first one (which is probably my favourite movie of all time). I think it just wasn’t as new and fresh as the first one, plus there wasn’t as much romance. I can’t wait to go on the improved ride at Disneyland - it has Captain Jack and Barbosa in it now and other referrences to the first movie.
We’re back into the school routine again - I much prefer the holidays.

Another week has gone by

11 07 2006

Oh dear - yet another week has gone by since I updated here. Guess that’s what happens during school holidays. I honestly don’t seem to get anything much done.
Lets see - Thursday - gym in morning: Amy to cheerleading and Christy to play center in afternoon
Friday - gym and to ride and play at park
Saturday - gym and took the girls to Fox Studios - had a great day out (Kevin had to work)
Sunday - planned to have friends for lunch but Amy was sick and slept all day. Just pottered around house doing nothing much at all - did make some birthday and thankyou cards
Monday - gym and met up with friends for girls to ride their bikes
Tuesday - gym, not much else, Amy having friend over for first sleepover.

So, there went another week.

I’m trying to book some accomodation in Jindabyne so we can take the girls down to see the snow. Also need to book Murramarang for the next school hols.

School holidays so far

6 07 2006

Okay a quick run down of the school holidays so far.
On Saturday 1st we went to a friends 10th Wedding Anniversary party. It was lots of fun - some of the girls wore their wedding dresses. There was kareoke and lots of laughs. Kevin took lots of great photos.
Sunday we had lunch at another friends. The kids all played well and we had a nice, relaxing afternoon, complete with a delicious vegetarian meal just for me.
Monday was gym, cleaning the house and taking the girls for a bike ride (oh, it is sooo good being able to walk for exercise again).
Tuesday - gym, playgroup and groceries.
Wednesday - Christy at preschool, Amy & I did the gym, had lunch at with Nanny then Amy had a craft lesson of the local scrapbook store - she made a lovely door hanger. After preschool we fed some ducks and walked home (Amy rode her new bike we bought on the weekend).
Thurs (today) - gym, Amy had cheerleading practice from 1-5pm - Christy went to a play center and we did some shopping. Got Christy some nice summer clothers - yes, I know it’s still the middle of winter…. Went over an gave mum and pedicure and the girls stayed for dinner.

Tomorrow - gym and probably another bike ride.

I’m really enjoying
