I haven’t had much to report this week so I’ve been working on updating my 1998 trip report for Scotland from my old website.

Hi Libby

Just accidently found your trip when looking up Oban. I have been lucky enough to visit the UK 5 times over many many years, and I just keep wanting to go back. My husband and I are planning a trip to Scotland, the Isle of Man and Devon and Cornwall (mainly) next year and I was most interested in reading about your trip in 1998.

I have been doing family history research and our clan came from Ullapool via Liverpool in the mid 1800s. I am almost to the point of finding a pub the family ran in Scotland and was still being run when the first of my ancestors came to Australia.

Anyway, not to bore you, just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your photos and commentary.

When I googled Haddo house, I found your blog. My Dad was also born there in 1943. I’ll have to contact them to have my Dad’s inso added. Thanks for this!
