Ready to get back to healthy eating
29 01 2008
Well, while our meals have remained pretty healthy we’ve started to slip into “holiday” mode with biscuits, chocolate, ice-cream, etc. Only a little bit (since that’s all that fits in our small stomachs) but still not the best things to be having for snacks. I’ve gone through the pantry/fridge and we’ve used up the last few “treat” foods over the last few days and I DID NOT buy any more today. I’ve got my dinner planned out and tomorrow will do some work on lunches - now that the girls will be back at school I can just have a salad or veggie stir-fry for lunch. I’m still losing weight and have restarted the Body for Life exercise program. I have LOADS more energy than I did before and still find I’ve got some left at the end of the day - which is a real novelty.

Wow-your foods and menus look great too!! Ok, what is a chook? I saw the cage, but is that for your Guinea Pig? LOL
Your daughters are just beautiful.
Have a great day!!!!
That is great……..I admire your determination.
Hi Libby,
Just thought I’d say hi and tell you what a great support it’s been to read though your site about your WLS pre-op and post op.
I had my op yesterday in Ashfield and it went well. I didn’t get the sleeve the same as you, but I got the band. They let me go home this morning.
I found the lead up to the op petrifying in all honesty. As I was waiting for my anasetic they decided to give me some vallium as I kept getting tears in my eyes. It actually helped alot. I’ve been in a bit of pain but nothing that is unbearable. I’ve got the rest of this week off work to rest up. My mum who is from up the coast near Coffs Harbour has come to Sydney for the week to look after me. Thank goodness cause I can’t get up out of bed and from laying positions without help.
Anyway, I just thought I’d let you know I’ve been done and I’m looking forward to the healing process now so the weight loss can begin.
Take care,
Chantel.
