Even though I don’t eat any meat I still do buy some organic free range ham for the kids, and Mum gets one for Christmas lunch. You don’t have to do without, just get an animal that had happy life.
i can’t bear to watch. i cry buckets when i see that stuff. but you’re right. organic, free range, but especially local, is the way to go. i’m veg. but do eat eggs which i’ve just started buying local and getting from a friend who keeps chooks. the extra nutrition, taste, lack of sulfur smell, and overall peace of mind just can’t be beat.
