Wet ‘n’ Wild Part 1

Chevron

I awoke about 5.30am (weird the sun being up at that time). I read some blogs, had a cup of tea and about 7am headed down to the gym to lift some weights (just did upper body today and a little leg work as I know I’ll be going lots of stairs later on). Back in the apartment everyone was awake so we headed out forĀ  a walk (the girls on their scooters). We walked along the waterfront which was nice – though a little crowded for our liking.

We stopped at Starbucks on the way back for Kevin to get a coffee. Time for some breakfast (just toast with cheese today) and pack lunches and bags for our day at Wet ‘n’ Wild. We arrived before opening and lined up. It looked like it was going to be busy but wasn’t once we were in the park. After selecting some seats near Bucaneer Bay (the kids area) we headed to H2O extreame for the thrill rides. Christy must have grown since last year and was able to go on a few new rides. We spent the rest of the day hanging out, swimming in the wave pool, going around the lazy river and watching the kids on slides/playing in Bucaneer Bay. Unfortunately I have forgotten to bring the underwater housing with us so I didn’t get too many photos, but they would have looked pretty much like last years anyway (hey, I’m even wearing the same swimsuit and have 2 pigtails like last year).

Lunch today was a yummy salad I made at the apartment.

Kevin and Amy enjoyed a frozen drink

And later Kevin and I shared an ice-cream sundae.

We left around 4.15pm, tired and very happy. We’ll be back later in the week for the part 2 of wet n wild.

Back home we unpacked, I typed up this post, made another easy dinner (precooked potatoes & veggies in a tomato sauce) and we settled down to watch Brother Bear.

Tomorrow: Movie World

  1. Hi Libby,

Looks like such a fun holiday! I remember going to seaworld, dreamworld, movie world and wet n wild with my mum, last time when I was about year 8 at highschool – I have some of my best memories with mum and my brothers on those holidays. You all look like you are having a great time! Love you fingernails. I got a pedicure on the weekend and have red/pink toes. I just had to choose the colour as it was ‘My Chihuahua Bites’…lol!

  2. OMG….looks amazing…I can’t believe you guys did that whole drive in one day, amazing!! I love gnocchi too…..I can’t wait to see what else you all do, looks fun and busy. Is there a McDonalds across the street from the arches that say Surfer’s Paradise?? We ate lunch at that McDonald’s our first time there. We stayed in Broadbeach at the Beach Haven….there is a nice park across the street and a mall/restaurant area nearby called The Oasis…..love seeing the pictures.
