Where was I?

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

One year ago on the 19th of July, 2010 I was in Scotland with a sick child, driving from Glen Coe to Inverness.

Two years ago in 2009 I was in Western Australia travelling with the girls and my parents visiting the Pinnacles.

Three years ago in 2008 I was in Alice Springs with all my family at the end of trip to the middle of Australia.

And 4 years ago in 2007, like today, I was at home doing something totally mudance and unblogworthy :-) .

I love blogging because it allows me to take little trips down memory lane whenever I want. What were you doing this day last year?

PS. I do believe I am coming to the end of my cold/flu and will be back to normal very soon.

What do you want to see?

I’m at that place again when I’m not sure what to blog about. I think I just need to always be on holidays then it’s a no brainer :-) . Alas I’m very much enjoying being at home again but I find my day to day life does not provide a lot inspiration in terms of blog content. So I thought I’d ask you, my blog readers, what you’d like to see more of.

More organization….

More beauty videos….

More scrapbooking layouts…..

More day in my life posts…..

More recipes…

Something you’ve wanted me to blog but I never have. Please let me know – I’d love your feedback.

The winner….

Free ticket to the Aussie Bloggers Conference in Sydney THIS Saturday

Monday, March 14th, 2011

EDITED : Ticket has already been claimed.

I have decided not to attend to conference this Saturday so would love to give my ticket to someone else. You can find out all about the conference (which is now sold out) here. The ticket, worth $99, is for the day conference ONLY, and not the dinner. Please let me know if you would like to attend. Due to the late notice this is going to be given on a first in basis so I can notify the committee of the new attendee.

Not too much has been happening in our house this weekend so instead of boring you all I thought I’d share some of my newly discovered favourite blogs. I’m always amazed when I come across a new one that I REALLY love and wonder how I never knew it exited.

Super Organiser Mum is one such blog. She’s Australian and has the most beautiful organising style, and she scrapbooks. I subscribe in a reader, which is much easier to read than on her blog, but I promise you it’s worth checking out.

I Heart Organising is another fabulous blog. And Jen takes the most gorgeous photos.

A Bowl Full of Lemons – yet another wonderful organising blog.

Beauty … inside and out – Liz is a Youtube guru who blogs about beauty, makeup, healthy food and her life abroad in Spain. She is one inspiring young lady.

Anna Saccone – Another youtube beauty who blogs about makeup and gives great style advice.

My New Roots – a great resource for the most delicious looking vegan dishes. Can’t wait to try them ALL out.

Let me know what you think of them. What is your current favourite blog?

Meeting Paola

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Yesterday I drove down to Berry to meet another blog-friend, Paola, of Spades and Spoons. We met at the Berry Tea Shop, which you might recall I visited in December.

The thing I love best about meeting fellow bloggers is that you don’t have to worry about getting to know each other or learning what each other is interested in. All that has already been done. From the moment the lovely and elegant Paola entered the tea rooms we talked, over a delicious cup of tea, non-stop about all sorts of things. Eventually we wandered to Sew and Tell and spent at least 30min poking around the shop ohhing and ahhing over all the gorgeous things.  So jealous that Paola has this shop in her local town, but at least that gives me an excuse to come visit with her again :-) .

NOTE: I believe you “should” be able to see the photos from Kevin’s Birthday dinner now.

Aussie Bloggers Conference

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Have you all heard about the Aussie Bloggers Conference to held in Sydney next March. I ummed and ahhed about going but decided that since I love blogging (both writing and reading) I really needed to go and show my support. I’m rather excited about meeting more bloggers (I’ve met 5 in real life so – Annie, Leanne, Kerrie, Tina and Ailsa). Anyone else going or thinking of going? It would be great to meet some more of my “friends”.
