I’m sure I’m behind with my love for LUSH products but we don’t have a store in Wollongong . I only just went to my first store back in April but I instantly fell in love. Not only do they have wonderful products (which are homemade, not tested on animals, and many are even vegan) but they are a great ethical company.

When you go into a store you are hit with all these wonderful smells and colours. The girls and I love going around and smelling them all.

And putting our favourites into the yellow bags.

Which are then labelled – lucky as I’d never know which was which otherwise.

Once home I cut them up as required and place back into their bags. And into this tub. There are lots of wonderful ways to store lush products as I discovered on Youtube.

Now the best part… running a bath…

Love them so much. I’m hoping for another store visit soon so I can check out all the wonderful Christmas goodies. Even if you’re not a bath lover yourself they make fantastic gifts, and sell other products like fresh face masks….

If you ever get the chance go check out the store – I’m sure you won’t regret it. And for those of you who are already on the lush-love bandwagon – please let me know your favourite products so I can give them a try.

I’m going to be in trouble from Kevin because I’m supposed to be buying any treats but I was helpless to resist. I LOVE lollie jars and when I spotted this in Woolworths today I just had to have it. The crazy thing was I looking for the price but it was FREE….when you bought  2 jumbo size packets of loliies. Well you don’t need to twist my arm to buy lollies (even if I’ll be in trouble).

Of course I had to put some lollies in it to get the full effect.

I’ll be headed to bed early tonight as I need to get up before 4am to see the first musher over the line. There are two very strong contenders at the moment and looks like it’s going to be a close, and exciting, finish.

…the Iditarod started today. I always get so emotional watching it – so inspiring. I wonder if Lance Mackey can make it 5 in a row!!!

…watching it anyway. This is our sixth year (I think) of season tickets (we also had them a few years in the mid-90s) and I just love going to the games. It’s great now too as a lot of games are shown live on One HD. Kevin laughs that he’s got a sport-watching wife. He really only goes cause I love it. The poor Hawks aren’t going too good at the moment but I still love watching them play.  And there is always a great atmosphere at the Sand Pit as you can see in this video.

Best of all, nothing arrived broken. They won’t replace any international breakages and last time I had a tea pot break. This time it was packed much better.

As you all know I take my dogs for a walk out by the lake most mornings. We’ve been having some amazing sunrises of late plus I’ve spotted lots of baby birds so I made sure to take my camera with me the other morning.

Seeing all this is a wonderful way the start the day.

Firstly, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to those of you to took to time to comment on my last post – I really do have the best internet buddies. Just to clarify that I really am okay with my life right now. But I’ve been feeling a little flat this week so I’ve noticed myself doing more comparisons than normal. My only real regret in life is my weight so I know I’m pretty lucky. As a few of you pointed out – most of us feel that the grass is greener on the other side. But in truth our life is largely what we make it. So today I’m going to be happy to be me .

As I was scrapbooking yesterday afternoon I looked out my window and saw some black dots.

Okay, you can’t see them, I’ll grab the DSRL and go outside.

Pelicans!!! About 30 of them flying on the breeze.  And did you notice the sideways heart space in the clouds?

I often see a few pelicans flying around but I’ve never seen this many enjoying the thermals. It was pretty awesome I have to say.
