Well, I seem to have done it. Over the last few weeks I’ve tried about 4 or 5 different recipes for bread. To make it easy for myself I want to do the dough in the breadmaker and then bake the bread in the oven.
Yesterday I tried a recipe from Niki at Rural Writings. It turned out great. Rather sweet because of the honey I assume but lovely, moist and fluffy. There was a lot of dough so I made some into rolls and topped some with cheese. Again delicious. They look dark but tasted yummy and the crust is suprisingly soft. Next time I’m going to try with wholemeal flour. If you’re in Australia and want to try this just remember it’s a Canadian recipe so a tablespoon is 3 teaspoons. I also added a tablespoon of bread improver.
