The Family Plate

Withnall Family plate

Isn’t it cute? This is the plate we ordered from the markets in Surfers Paradise. I just love it.

It’s new home will be the display cupboard in the kitchen – which is now in desperate need of a clean-out.

I was just looking at these plates on eBay. I’ve got it on my wishlist for mother’s day 🙂

    HI Libby,

thank you for the kind comment on my blog. I noticed you have chicks too. Rather, I like what you call them. My viewpoint on eating animals has changed so much since having them. I am eating somewhat vegan with the exception of dairy when there is not an alternative (like if we are out) and eggs (free range of course and eventually our own). so, is that what you are doing too?

p.s. – the plate is very fun and I love the color of your cabinets.

Beautiful plate and I love the cabinet too! The plate looks quite large up there on the shelf, is it? Where can we order something like that and can you use it as a plate (if you wanted to)?

    Hi Bel,

I usually reply to comment via e-mail but just in case anyone else is interested.

This is the lady I got mine through. It’s about 30x30cm – maybe a fraction larger. They come in different sizes and shapes. I’m pretty sure you can use it as a plate but not in the dishwasher.
