The week that was

The first half of the week wasn’t too bad. There was  a visit to the Docs to get a referral to see someone about my swollen hands & feet, and I was feeling well enough to get the house all cleaned.

There was  a drive to the beautiful Jamberoo Valley…

Driving home

to take Amy to a 3-day Music camp…

There was a lovely manicure and pedicure… and the first inklings of a sore throat.

Unfortunately I didn’t feel too great the rest of week – I think it’s just a head cold but I’ve had a upset tummy as well. This resulted in a number of baths and plenty of time on the couch. Kevin joined me when he was home – playing World of Warcraft, as he does most nights.

There was Amy’s wonderful performance at the school talent show…

There was Bailey being cute as always…

and cuddles with Rosie…

There was a Mothers Day present made for my Mum…

There was a messy desk waiting patiently to be tidied…

There were Alpacas to be met and admired…

and there was a fabulous Mother’s Day out with my family (on one of the days I actually felt pretty good).

We also re-instigated Family Movie Night by watching Hoodwinked together and had the heater on for the first time this season, with Bailey being quick to position himself right in front of it.

If that is what a “messy” desk looks like in your world, you probably want to steer clear of my house most days 😉

Sounds like you had a nice week, despite health challenges. Hope you are feeling better soon!

P.S. I am right in the middle of posting the Pine Nut Salad recipe you asked for on my blog (but I am easily-distracted, which is how I ended up here!)

Hey Libby, that photo of you driving with your nails done is surreal, when I first looked at it I thought you were underwater, I still think that every time I look at it. I love it.
