Last on the holiday

Firstly, I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who left comments on my various blog posts. I loved reading each of them, knowing you were enjoying the trip with us. And I hope you understand that after the couple of hours to get the post up each day I just didn’t have time to reply to of your comments.

I’ve finally gotten everything (except for my toiletries/make-up) put away. Here’s the goodies we bought back for the girls. Amy’s in on the left, Christy’s on the right. Of course, I saw the same Barbie in Big W today (but for twice the price). The boy doll is Justin Beiber – who you’ll be pleased to know is wearing underpants :-).

And here’s my loot. It doesn’t seem much but I did also get some winter jackets/tops and some summer tops.

Plus all this Iditarod related stuff. I have no idea how I ended up with a 2011 calander – I must have put to wrong one back on the shelf :-(.

Now that’s I’ve seen the girls & Mum & Dad, and cuddled my pups, I ready to go away again. Actually I wasn’t really reading to come home :-).

  1. Libby, I loved reading about your trip and certainly didn’t expect you to reply to the comments while you were away. I just loved seeing all the beautiful places you visited and really enjoyed all the excellent photos you took.

  2. I love reading your blog & I have loved reading about your trip, the animal pic’s were amazing especially the whales, thank you for sharing it all with us.

  3. Glad you guys are home safely,it’s hard to settle isnt it. Im ready to go again I just cant get into a routine at the moment. Ive really enjoyed your holidays lol.

  4. What, you mean you were too busy having fun and enjoying your holiday to reply to my comments? How very rude :p just kidding.

In one way though it’s cool that you’ve bought a 2011 calendar, because 2011 is the year that you went to see it. You could even use the page for June as a scrapbook page … remove it from the calendar (Or even better, scan it and do a copy) and then put it on your layout and put your itinerary on each day, and then have a map of alaska and put thread/lines from each day to pins on the map. You know you want to!

So … where are you taking us on our next trip? Perhaps we could go to Italy. Or come back here and we’ll go for wagamama, mmmm. xxx

  5. Sounds like it must have been a great trip for you LIbby and not too long. I always think when you go away you want to be away long that you love every minute, but not that long that you really want to come home. Thanks for sharing your trip once again.

  6. Great Blog! We did the Radiance/Sea north bound on June 24th. Then did the land tour of Talkeetna, Anchorage, Whittier, Homer Spit. We just got home July 7th (yesterday) and I am already researching Alaska for our next trip. Talkeetna was a family favorite, glacier landing at Mt McKinley base camp. My favorite was Hoonah, we did a similar small charter. Those whales were beautiful. We didn’t get to white water raft (we have small kids), but there is always a next time!
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed blog. I am going to save your blog when researching our next trip.
