Spring Clean the Garage

OnΒ  Monday (which was a public holiday here in NSW) I suddenly had the urge to tackle the garage. It has been in dire need of a good sorting out for some time but it’s such a big and daunting job I’d been putting it off. It’s also too big a job for just one person so I roped in Nan, Pop & Kevin and paid the girls to help out as well. In a few hours we turned this..

There was a full car load of rubbish to the tip (in Pop’s 4 wheel drive) and a few trips to the local charity shop. And look – do you see that? A share shelf!!! Perfect for me to put things to donate (and keep them off the floor).

So, how’s your garage looking these days?

  1. Oh I dream of having a garage…we only have a carport so nothing can be stored in there. We do, however, have a series of large plastic tubs (labelled of course) in my Dad’s shed which is not far from the house. I know if I don’t keep a check on it those containers can get out of control πŸ™‚

  2. It’s looking really good – like that empty shelf! Thankfully our garage is not a problem – thanks to the coziness of it when both the cars are in. Our problem is the basement! There’s stuff all over the place and things that don’t work anymore but just maybe DH might be able to get them working again. πŸ™‚ I think maybe we should attack it next weekend – no time this weekend as it is Canadian Thanksgiving and I’m really busy with that.
