Photo from The House of Smiths who chose this word last year.
This years WORD came to me so very easily.
SIMPLIFY
I can apply this to almost all areas of my life. And if I manage to stick with should see some wonderful changes.
- Simplify household routine
- Simplify how we eat, with a focus on simple, wholesome foods
- Simplify my exercise routine
- Simplify my hobbies (and decide which ones to let go of)
- Simplify my wardrobe (and that of the girls)
- Simplify my daily routine
- Simplify how we live
- Simplify what I expect of myself
So do you have a word for the year?
My word is “Explore” or “Adventure”. It’s more of an abstract thought than a word but I feel like 2012 was our year of “settle” and now that we have that foundation we can explore more and have adventures 🙂
I have never thought of one word for the year but I do like your simplify
I’ve had a word for the year for the past couple of years and my word for 2012 is change.
I love your simplify — I think I’m going to incorporate simplification in the changes I want to make for 2012.
Best to you for the new year.
Happy New Year Libby!! Wishing you all the best in 2012 x
I have never thought of a word for the year but I LOVE your ‘simplify’…..a word I think we all could use in our daily lives.

That’s a great word Libby, Im not sure of mine yet It’s come down to two lol.
Oooh, simplify is a brilliant word. I have three – mindful, better, generous. Be more mindful, be better (I am already great, but I could be better…) and be generous with everything – love, time, stuff, money…
Happy new year, hope it’s simply wonderful 😉
