First an update on my sugar free challenge. I continued on for another week – making it three weeks – with the exception of chocolate fondue on the weekend. However, my weight has gone up this week and I really don’t know why. So the last few days it’s been difficult to stay motivated and I have had a few things with sugar. I’ve been reading a bit about food intolerances causing, not only inflammation, but an inability to lose weight, so I wonder if that might be something I’m dealing with. When I look at my food for the week I had more bread than normal. Hmm… might have to set myself another challenge and eliminate more foods from my diet.
This week saw lots more grocery buying (again). First a shop at Woolworths…
Then my main big shop at Coles….
This weeks meals included…

Dinner featured a peri peri wrap….

Tell me, did you have any yummy food indulgences this week?
It may well be the bread, I find that bread makes me gain weight faster than anything else. I weighed myself the other day and my weight has gone up TWICE in the 5 months since T was born. I was a little bit devastated. I need to take it in hand and start eating better. I’m going to start with porridge for breakfast again rather than toast and cereal, last time I lost weight dropping all bread made a huge difference.
Thanks for your input. I nearly always have a salad for lunch – but I think last week it was bread almost every day. And, yes, more bread at breakfast as well. I’ll definitely going to cut down this week and see how things go.
We love our bread here. And it shows.I also think salt plays a large part as well. Shop bought breads have a lot of salt to add shelf life so the combo of carbohydrate and salt is devastating on the waist line. I think I might try a bread free week as well. Goood luck Libby. vanessa.
Have you ever tracker your calories to see how much you are eating over a day? When I track my food on myfitnesspal I always seem to lose weight. That cake sure looked yummy 🙂
