And if you’d like to see more of our day you can watch my vlog
Silly me didn’t do the journaling for this post within a day or two of taking the photos, so now I’m hard pressed to remember the details. Of course, being July, the day started with me watching about 4 hours of the Tour de France, that I recorded during the night.
Bailey is my cycling buddy and lies beside me. When I get up, usually for another cup of tea, I cover him up with the blanket.
When the cycling finishes – usually around 9am, I head upstairs to make the bed and have a shower.
I was feeling ok today so decide to take the dogs on a walk – but only a short one (wheew I drive down to the lake rather than walk the whole way).
Such a gorgeous Winters Day.
Back home I finally had some breakfast of overnight oats.
Since I wasn’t feeling well enough to do a job like decluttering or cleaning I worked on finishing my family photobook for last year. My laptop is dying and I wanted to make sure it was finished and uploaded in case it was lost forever.
About 12.15pm I headed out, first to the shops, where I bought did a spot of browsing and got a subway wrap for lunch, then to my beauticians for a eyelash and eyebrow tinting and a lovely facial.
I then picked up Christy from school and headed home, where I watched some youtube before Athena made us tacos for dinner.
After dinner I watched some TV with Kevin and we headed up to bed around 9pm.
The dogs don’t come up on the bed every night but it was nice getting to have some cuddles with them as I read.
I was up around 5am again this morning. Let the dogs out, took my medication, made a pot of tea and settled down to watch the Giro (cycling race in Italy). It was rather chilly this morning so the heater had to go on.
Time to make another tea and pack Kevin’s lunch.
I also took some pain killers to hopefully kill a bad headache.
Kevin & Christy left for work around 7.30am. I continued watching the cycling till around 8.30 when I stopped to make breakfast. I couldn’t decide what I felt like for breakfast so decided on some corn thins with hummus, cucumber and tomato.
Bailey is my cycling buddy and loves to get pats when I’m sitting in Kevin’s seat watching the cycling.
When I finally finished watching todays race, I showered and dressed, and finished uploading a vlog for my youtube channel….
and started editing another as I’m a behind…
I then loaded up the car with things to donate (from my huge house declutter)…
and made a quick and easy lunch..
Then just before 1pm I got my bag and water and headed out the door.
After dropping off the donations I drove to my beauticians…
where I enjoyed a lovely facial, and got my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted.
I then picked up Christy from school and headed home. I dropped her off, picked up Athena & Bailey, except this time Athena was driving. And it was back into town to drop her off at the Youth Center.
Back home I remembered to put the bins out (since Dad is away).
I then had time for a snack and to watch some YouTube.
I bought the washing in for Athena and enjoyed the late afternoon sky.
About 6.15 Kevin and Athena were back home and we enjoyed the rice paper rolls that Athena had made for dinner.
For some odd reason Rosie always lies under this seat at dinner time.
Tonights game was Qi, which I’m NOT very good at.
Being the 14th means it’s time for dog treatments. Rosie is so much happier now she doesn’t have to have the one her back. She now gets a chewy. But Bailey can’t have the chewy as it made his ears all swell !!!
Before settling down for the evening I made up some overnight oats.
While watching TV we enjoyed some strawberries and cream.
Up around 5am this morning. Tea as usual and today I had cuddles with Bailey…
while watching the Eneco Tour.
Then I got a bit sidetracked online looking at Outlander stuff :-).
Kevin and the girls had left for school and work. Eventually I decided I was hungry but not sure what I felt like eating, so I had a ciabatta roll with cheese & tomato. And more tea, of course.
There was more time watching Youtube.
I then had my shower and got organised to take the dogs on a walk. I’m still not up to the full walk, so we drive down to the lake…
and enjoy a slow 15min walk…
So nice to out in the sunshine and fresh air.
Bailey likes to go exploring….
whereas Rosie is my little shadow…
Afterwards I stop by the local supermarket to pick up a few supplies.
Then it’s back home to edit a vlog.
Before making a veggie burger sandwich for my lunch.
I then rewatched the first episode of Outlander.
Snuggled under a blanket as it had turned cool. Loved it just as much the second time around.
Afterwards I dug out my scrapbook album to check out my photos of Doune Castle, where some of Outlander is filmed. Only had 2 photos if you can believe that!!! You forget that when you had to pay to get your film printed you were very selective in what you photographed.
I picked up the girls from school at 3pm and spent the afternoon watching youtube. When Kevin got home he prepared the pups dinner.
And I put together a rather easy one for us.
Kevin & shared a quorn fillet and soy sausage.
Then it was time to settle down with a very cute puppy and watch some TV.
