More Halloween Decor

IMG_0706

NOTE: This is my first time playing with Hipstamatic – thought it went well with Halloween :-).

I had the idea to something like this last year but never got around to it so when I saw these cute brooms a few weeks ago I picked up two of them. Then just the other day I saw this free printable. Using an old blow up couldron and Amy’s creative endeavours and we have some broom parking for our guests tomorrow (though I hope they stay for more than one hour 🙂 ).

I also found a few other printables which, being the lazy person that I am, just printed up and put into frames. Talk about quick and easy and I LOVE them.

Source of printable. I also bought this candle stick and candle from the cheapy shop.

I had wanted to make this bunting but it’ll have to wait till next year…when I get some Halloween fabric :).

I know it’s a bit late now but if you’re looking for same great Halloween decoration ideas be sure to visit Eighteen 25 – my latest discovery.

Let’s decorate….for Halloween

Halloween Decorations

Okay, so not many people decorated for Halloween in Australia but (1) we have an annual party and (2) I love any excuse to decorate :-). We don’t have a lot by American standards but we usually manage to add a piece or two each year. I haven’t bought anything yet but Kevin is headed to the USA soon so he’ll hopefully bring me back some goodies (hint, hint) – he did great last year :-).

So what do we have in the kitchen…

There are few other bits and pieces around the house and we have more deocations that will go up for our party.

Spring Clean – The Pantry

I’ve had this task on my to-do list for about a week but finally on this wet, cold Spring day I got to it.

Before….

and after…

It took a few hours. For the time in ages I took EVERYTHING out and wiped down all the shelves. I’m trialing a swap of the bread bin for a basket and made sure all the opened packets made their way into containers (will need to pick up a few spares tomorrow).

I’m so happy with how it looks. I keep on going to take another peek :-).
