It was the week of morning lovely morning walks….

though I’ve not been going till around 8am because it’s been COLD….

It was the week of a rather busy (and fun) weekend for me…starting with the Bruce Springsteen concert on Friday night…

a basketball game on Saturday night –  with a special farewell to one of the players (Glen Saville) and a great win (which sees the Hawks through to the semi-finals)…

then on Sunday we headed up to Sydney for a lovely family day – lunch out and seeing the musical The Addams Family…which we all enjoyed…

The very beautiful Capitol Theatre. Inside is just glorious but it was too dark to get a decent photo. Amy (Dr Who fan) was freaking out about all the statues!

It was the week I took this photo of Christy modelling her pandora bracelet….

 

and it was the week I finally managed to photograph this cute sign that we pass on the way up to Sydney…

 

 

It was the week some trees were removed behind our house…which means I can now see houses… luckily they are pretty far away…

And it was the week I caught Kevin sorting out the junk mail…. he wanted to read some of the ones I had discarded…

 

It was the week Christy got some new roller blades as her current pair had gotten to small…

and it was the week I got an order from Kora Organics….

It was the week I created this manicure…which I LOVE… but boy is glitter polish a pain to get off….

And it was the week of Bailey in strange positions… though that happens every week…..

Did your week have any highlights you’d like to share?

Question time – Do you like the week that was posts as they are or would you prefer seeing more things (like a lunch out) in a seperate posts? TWTW post started out as a way for me to share photos that didn’t really fit in other posts but it nows seems like more events just end up in this post. So I just thought I’d get your opinions on what you prefer.

It was the week the Iditarod was won…. by Mitch Seavey. It was his kennels that we visited in Alaska so I was excited for him.

I saw him win then literally  had to race out the door to a meeting about our upcoming Germany trip (Amy & Kevin were already waiting in the car) ….

which meant I caught the rest of the action on my ipad in the car …..

It was the week Christy got her new glasses….

aren’t they so cute?

and it was the week I had another skin biopsy – in the same area I already had a mole removed…. nothing to worry about, he just wants to see if he needs to remove the lump I have…

It was the week we got documents and jackets for Germany…. only one month to go now….

and it was the week I found these lovely flowers in our garden…

It was the week I took the dogs on a longer walk and hence we got a different view of the lake,….

and it was the week of stunning skies….

It was the week of red nails…

and blue nails…. though I’m not very happy with this one as it chips very easily….

And it was the week I bought myself some new lipsticks…

It was the week we had lunch at the Nan Tien Temple…

 

Don’t think it would have been too bad on my elimination diet.

And it was the week of crazy Bailey….

and his cute, fluffy feet…

It was the week that we celebrated Amy’s Birthday.. with presents… many of which were Dr Who based…..

Dinner at the Hog’s Breath Cafe …. my Uncle Brain was able to join us….

Dessert at Cold Rock Ice Creamery….

and a little play session by the big kids :-).

There was also a Percy Jackson themed dress up party for 20 teenagers….

which meant we had to order a crazy amount of pizzas…

There was also blue food ….

and assortment of games….

and a Dr Who Angel ice cream cake….

It was the week the Iditarod started….which is why I haven’t been around much this week…

and it was the week of an arthritis flare… which meant I didn’t have to feel too bad about doing this all the time…

It was the week Christy had an eye test and yes, she does need glasses, and yes, she’s SOOO excited to get them.

And it was the week I was thrilled to get a follow back on twitter from Nils Lofgren of the E Street Band. I’ve been a fan of his forever and used to have a big crush on him….

It was the week of some long games of Dr Who monopoly…which Amy got from Nan & Pop….

and it was the week of making costumes for Amy’s party….

It was the week of dark purple polish…

then a dark raspberry. It was also the week I realized I should tidy up my nails before I take photos :-).

It was the week of lovely sunrises….

and the week of missed sunrises….

It was the week of clouds…as Christy has been learning about the different types at school….

And it was the week of only ONE dog photo….

It was the week that the rain ended…then started again….

and it was the week of STUNNING sunrises….

It was the week I found a little lizard in the house… luckily we got it outside later on….

and it was the week I found this chicken perched where she shouldn’t be….

It was the week Amy went to her first concert (with a friend) to see Ed Sheeran….

and it was the week of blue nails….

It was the week of no puppy photos to share and the week Kevin and I went to Sydney for the weekend .. post coming soon..
