We’ve had a rather busy weekend. Starting on Friday night when we hosted Kevin’s business party at home. It was a nice night and we were able to set up and eat outside – which was nice.
Then Saturday was spent doing a lot of Christmas baking – Amy made Christmas cookies to take to singing & drama, I then made shortbread, lemon cookies, fudge, and a gingerbread house (which was our advent activity for the day). The gingerbread house was a bit of a disaster – the bread was too soft – but the girls had fun and are rather proud of their creation. I also managed to squeeze in a workout at the gym and a swim.
Saturday we had the Christmas Party for my old workplace (we still get invited cause it was my Dad’s company – he has recently retired so it was probably our last year). Then today Mum had a brunch for some family friends. I made zuccini and corn fritters, pikelets and a potato dish.
Was a lovely morning. We also watched a slide show of one our friends recent trip to the UK. I’m so glad we’re going in 2009 as I’d be getting real itchy feet after seeing the wonderful photos.
Oh, and here’s a cute photo of Rosie snoozing on the lounge “in her spot”.
