Yesterday my Mum (& Dad) took us all to see Mary Poppins. She had a spare ticket so we also took Emerson. The plan had been to have lunch before the show, which was just as well, because when Mum & Dad arrived they realized the show started at 1pm NOT 2pm. This was a 12.45pm and the main car park was full. Amazingly we managed to get parked and to the theatre just seconds before the doors were locked for the start of the show. Unfortunately though, Dad missed the start.
The show was wonderful. Even better than I thought it would be. And the girls LOVED it. They’re at an age now when they can really appreciate musicals. Definitely one of the best musicals I’ve seen. I could easily go watch it again today :-). Click here for see a preview.
We also took along Flat Stanley who is visiting from America.
When the show finished we were starving (ice cream and chips didn’t really make a satisfying lunch) so we went to the Korean Restaurant we had planned to go to at 4pm!!! This is the second time we’ve eaten here and we loved our food again.
NOTE …. I just have to say 11 year olds are just too grown up these days….
