May saw us start back up a Family Day Out or time together each weekend. We decided to take it in turns choosing what we do. Christy kicked things off with lunch at the Hogs Breath Cafe. We haven’t been here in ages and it was really good. They finally have added about 4 or 5 vegetarian dishes to the menu.
I had a salad with fried mushrooms. Delicious.
Then it was time for some bowling.
It was good fun, though I struggled a bit with sore hands.
One night while watching TV, Christy fell asleep like this.
There were lots of morning spent watching the Giro with my cycling buddy.
We all got hair cuts, and the sad news our hairdresser Chris is moving to Melbourne :-(.
Christy got her hair cut and curled.
May also saw a return to more regular big weekly grocery shops by myself.
Still working on moving towards a plant based diet.
I also scored tickets to Robbie Williams (a birthday present from Mum & Dad).
Made a new food discovery – the vegetarian schnitzel was delicious.
Some flowers bought by Pop, when he took Athena driving.
Another family day saw another lunch at Schnitz…
followed by a trip to Spotlight – so the kids could get supplies for their cosplay costumes…
and seeing Tomorrowland at the movies…
The Giro was so exciting this year. Lots of great racing. And won by Alberto Contador.
Athena finally got a new quilt cover to finish off her revised bedroom.
While I was well for most of the month, there were a few bad days and a few nice baths to help with the pain.
