Happy Birthday to Rosie

Our Rosie turned 2 today. We had a little party for her this afternoon (in amongst a stressful afternoon with the girls – why is it when you try do something fun for them they muck up?). Rosie seemed to enjoy the attention – and her cake.

This is the mess I came home to last night. I think she was celebrating her last day as a one year old. Me, I wasn’t impressed as I’d just cleaned this room and getting straw off carpet is rather hard.

And finally, a face you just have to love.

Mii figures

Here’ is our wii family – cute aren’t we? They make these little models based on your weight and height and you pick facial features.

For your laughing pleasure are a couple of photos of us playing wii fit. We’re all loving it – it’s a not great workout for me(compared to the gym) but it sure is fun. Kevin was a bit annoyed that my wii fit age was 28 and his was 47 🙂 – we are both 36.

A productive morning

It’s funny, you’d think with the girls home from school (there was a teacher’s strike) I wouldn’t get as much done as normal, but I was in fact more productive (though I missed going to the gym). I did my usual Thursday cleaning the bathrooms, then worked on a PROPER tidy up of my desk – prompted by having to find some paperwork so Amy can apply to go to a class for gifted children next year.

Here the before and after of the desk-top. I even cleaned my keyboard and mouse.

The overhead cupboard

And finally the two bottom drawers (I did bother with the top drawer as that had been done a few week ago)

I threw out some magazines I’d been keeping. Usually I just tear out bits as I go but I kept whole fitness magazines. I was going to go through them all but decided just to toss them. I also moved out some books to the upstairs bookcase and put some of the kids food books on the open shelf so I remember to read/refer to them.

While I was busy doing this the girls made this terrific train track. Not sure why it always has to be in bed/bath room – I think they like making it go under my bed.

Pool fun and Rosie Bucket head

It’s been such bad weather all week – not good for school holidays but we’ve kept busy.

On Wednesday we went shopping at Miranda with Nanny and to see “Horton Sees A Who” – which was very cute and funny.

Thursday I went to exchange some clothes I bought for Kevin yesterday (they were too big), then Mum joined us at the Stampin’ Up open house. Had some lunch out and got a few groceries for our trip. Felt very inspired from the stamp day and scrapbooked till 7pm – you’ve already seen the results.

Then yesterday, Friday, I took Rosie into the vets – she had her drains removed, then went to the beauticians to get my nails done, then drove up to meet Leanne & the girls at Mt.Annan indoor pool. The girls had a great time on the big inflatable slide – though only Sarah and Christy managed to get to the end.l They were in the water for 4 hours – stopping only for lunch.IMG_6218

Home again we decided to take Rosie back to the vets to get her wounds checked. This time she came home looking like this…
