The birthday girl

Earlier this week Christy celebrated her 11th birthday… starting with presents in bed. The penny board was her main present.

She requested pancakes for breakfast….

before heading off to school with cupcakes to share with her class.

Then for after school I prepared a surprise afternoon tea.

She was so excited when she saw the table and decorations.

Granny joined us and is looking so amazing.

Can’t believe I gave birth to this little princess 11 years ago.

Of course, no birthday is complete with a birthday cake….

and more presents to open…

The birthday girl requested nachos for dinner, enjoyed while watching Tarzan. She had a great birthday and wished it wasn’t over.

Christy’s 11th Birthday Party

We celebrated Christy’s 11th birthday at the local roller skating rink.

She had her 3 best friends so she was happy.

Afterwards we came back to our place for party food. Amy did ALL of the food preparation.

Including making the birthday cake.

Amy also entertained the girls with various games. She was one amazing party organiser, especially considering she was sick during the week.

Christy got some lovely presents.

and had a great time hanging out with her friends.

Her best friend from school stayed for a sleepover so it was a real weekend celebration.

Horse Riding delights

Sorry to have been absent all week. You wouldn’t believe it but not only was my main computers memory full, but so was my laptops!!!! Arghh!!!! Thanks to Kevin the laptop is now back in action, and my main computer is getting there. So I’ve got a bit of catching up to do.

On Thurs Amy had to go to school for a rock esteddford practice so I took Christy up to Otford Farm for her school holiday horse ride.

She had requested to ride Narla and was pleased to get her for a two hour trail ride.

It was pretty cold day but luckily it didn’t rain, and she had a wonderful time. I went and got some breakfast, which I ate overlooking the ocean.

Then I drove back to the farm and read in the car while waiting for Christy’s return.

Afterwards we did a bit of shopping in town and met up with Amy, to give her some money, as she was staying in town to hang out with her friends for a bit.

….the video I planned to share didn’t finish uploading before it was time for me to go to bed.

…. I found out I still have an unspecific arthritis…but no joint damage has occurred which is fantastic

…. the girls and I watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 …. concluding a week of Twilight movies while Kevin is away

….Chisty came home with an award for tennis…she was very excited as only one was given out.
