Scrapbook Albums

Michelle at A Vision Spendid asked about the scrapbook albums I’m currently using so I thought I do a quick post.

I started out, nearly 10 years ago, not knowing anything about scrapbooking by buying a cheap album. Shortly afterwards I was introduced to Creative Memories and immediately fell in love with their albums. Since I like to use cardstock or patterned paper on most pages some of these albums are VERY heavy.

I used these up until a year ago, when I discovered Stacy Julians Library of Memories. She recommended American Craft Modern albums (and their page protectors). And I LOVE them. I LOVE the colours they come and I LOVE how easy it is to move pages around. Using her Library of Memories I now have albums for US, People we Love, Places we Go and Things we Do. Plus other albums for things like travel.

The albums are plain on the front -but they can be decorated. As you can see I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

And here’s what they look like open.

  1. Thanks for that Libby. I can’t believe how many albums you have made!
What a wonderful contribution you have made to preserving your family story.

  2. Hi Libby, Wow I can’t believe how many albums you have made – how wonderful! You’re going to need another storage cupboard soon. I see what you mean about them being heavy – look that the shelves bending! I think the loose sheets in the folder are the best idea, that’s what mine are like too (the few that I have done!)
