I had a very nice Mother’s Day. It started off with presents in bed. I was very excited to get a present from Kevin – only the second time that I can recall. And even more excited when I saw the box and realized it was the Kitchenaid mixer I had recently told him I would like “one day”. It’s pink too!!!
From Amy I recieved some vochures, chocolates and a notepad holder for the car.
From Christy I got vochures (love the afternoon of peace one) and a photo frame.
For my own Mum I got some of her favourite chocolates, a cute goldie box with goldie notecards and some homemade napkins – so happy with how they came out. I found the instrucitons here.
And for my Granny – I knitted a scarf.
Amy went to a party from 11am – 3pm (yes, on Mothers Day) and we had Mum, Dad and my Granny over for lunch. I had prepared most of it on Saturday so it was a nice, relaxing afternoon.
Toblerone mouse for desert – an old family favourite.
And cupcakes made in my new mixer.
Happy mothers day to you, libby! its nice to have a day all about us!
cheers, Amanda
Sounds like a lovely day. LOVE the mixer!!! 🙂
Loving your mixer! Oh and your “afternoon of peace” voucher! 🙂
Oh I love the mixer too! What lovely presents you had. I was lucky to see my mum this year!
You did a great job with the napkins.
WOW Kevin…just so you know, I’d like a red one!!!!!
Sounds like a great day. I could have hosted a dozen kids for lunch (It’s Byron’s birthday ) but we have a deal that I get Mother’s Day to relax and he gets a great party the following weekend LOL
Looks wonderful Libby…..that scarf is gorgeous and the table setting looks very special…nice day!
