Withnall Family Reunion

You’ve probably guessed we don’t see a lot of the Withnall side of the family and it has been, in fact, 4 years since we’ve seen anyone except for Kevin’s brother. So naturally the girls were very excited to see their cousin’s (none on my side as I’m an only child). We all met at his Dad’s farm – which is only 30mins from our home and after a bit of an odd start to the day we had a nice time catching up.

There were tractor rides…here Christy holding on to the youngest cousin, Dash.

There was swimming and fun in the (not so clean) pool… but on such a hot day no-one cared…

There were quad bikes to be riden…

Aunty Joanne and cousins…

And even a little motorbike… yes, the big kids had fun too :-).

There were sheep to admire…

And presents to be opened…

kris kingle style… which means you might not get to keep the one you opened.

And there were games to see who got the last present.

I lucked out and scored a VERY cute car washing kit. Kevin got a beach towel.

I’ve never seen them before – but I LOVE it – and was glad none of the kids wanted it :-).

The same could not be said for the bags of chocolate – there 4 in total and both my girls managed to get one :-).

Finally there was technology sharing – had to laugh when I saw the 3 siblings with their phones out.

The girls had a blast hanging with their cousins and Kevin and I came home dreaming of living on a farm (again) :-).

  1. Summertime fun at the farm….I remember days like that from my childhood, although we didn’t have a farm to go to, just the old folks’ place. Our family Christmas parties were fun, too. Everyone exchanged names. At Bunco, we play a version of your Kris Kringle and we call it Dirty Santa. Looks like the candy would be good, I love Cadbury!

  2. Its lovely to catch up with family at Christmas, everyone’s in good mood. Your girls look like they enjoyed themselves.

I was shopping with my daughter when we saw Pink Ribbon car set, its under my daughters tree waiting for me. Great minds think alike.
