I was up around 6am today and painted my nails while enjoying my morning cuppa.
When my lyrica (pain med) had kicked in, the dogs and I headed off for our walk. Stunning sunrise again this morning.
Such a magical time of day.
Even if it’s so humid out.
Back home I hung up the leads….
and got myself a BIG glass of water, as I melted into a big puddle….
It’s taking the dogs and I a good 30-60mins to recover from our walks at the moment, but after I’d cooled down I got on with emptying the dishwasher…
and having a cheese & pineapple jaffle for breakfast (Christy had already made herself some French Toast).
After Christy left on her scooter I went upstairs. Checking the girls rooms I was very impressed that BOTH rooms were tidy today. And Amy’s was all ready for her friend who is sleeping over tonight.
I showered, dressed and did my makeup….
Then it was time to grab some water and hit the road….
for the drive down to Berry….
where I was to meet Paola at the Berry Tea Shop.
It was lovely to catch up as we’d had to cancel our last planned met up because Amy was sick.
We had some yummy tea and scones…
and wandered around the shops in Berry.
Unfortunately it started to rain rather heavily and most cafes are outdoors so we ended up abandoning ourĀ efforts to find somewhere to have lunch and headed our seperate ways.
As you can see I was quite wet by the time I got back to my car.
Which meant my drive home wasn’t quite so nice, but luckily it cleared up as I headed North.
Driving back it was eerie to see all the trees that had been destroyed by the tornado (yes, tornado) that went through the area last weekend.
I went home via the school to drop off some uniforms I had collected yesterday.
Then headed home to make myself a VERY late lunch.
I was only home for an hour before it was time to head back out again. Since Amy had a friend coming over and I hadn’t had time to orgnaise any afternoon tea I went to the bus stop via a local bakery.
I picked up all three girls…
and headed home with afternoon tea. I was still full from lunch so didn’t have my piece until later.
After playing online for a bit I started making dinner ….
while the girls played some games…
Tonights dinner was pumpkin pasta bake.
After dinner Kevin drove the girls into town for the Ed Sheeran concert.
Christy and I got started on Got to Dance – our favourite show to watch together.
Later after she went to bed, Kevin and I had some popcorn while watching The Borgias.
Around 10.30pm Kevin headed back into town to pick up the girls who returned home rather excited and happy about the concert.
Your sunrise pictures are so beautiful! What a treat to wake up to such a beautiful sky! Here in the Pacific Northwest corner of the USA, we mostly wake up to fog, clouds and rain. But once in awhile we get a pretty early morning sky.
We love The Borgias although it didn’t beat the Tudors for me. Also that cake looks to die for. The strawberries are huge!!
I love the colour of that nail polish Libby. I must get back down to Berry sometime. I’d forgotten how great it is.
