It was the week of stunning skies…

and the week I went for a “sunrise” walk with the dogs for the first time in forever….

It was the week of gorgeous pink flowers for the house…

and the week I took dinners, and other goodies, up to my Granny….

It was the week of a few indulgences for me….

and a package sent off to a friend, Lisa, who’s just had a baby….go and see just how cute Charlotte is for yourself….

It was the week of playing with photos…turning this…

into this…

and it was the week we recieved an invite to Christy’s Cafe for breakfast….

wish I’d know the Omelet Surprise was going to be this cute…

It was the week of a lovely Sunday morning tea at the Powells….

and getting to see Russ, who is no longer a puppy, but still cute as ever…

before going to see The Hunger Games in Gold Class.  We all really enjoyed the movie. Not sure quite how it would be if you haven’t read the books though. Probably fine, you just might not get everything.

This is Amy’s Hunger Games inspired outfit.

It was the week of naughty Rosie in the garden, before I’d even driven down the driveway….

and the return of Rosie Cone-Head due to hotspots….

And I’m happy to report it was another week of almost daily exercise, only missing Saturday when I didn’t feel well….

It was the week the week of sunny, blue skies and finally not much rain. It was the week the Iditarod was won (kindly at 2pm in the afternoon) by Dallas Seavey and life gradually returned to normal….

It was the week Amy’s Hunger Games posters exploded out of her bedroom and onto her door….

and the week Kevin bought me a new sewing machine… what a sweetie….

It was the week of crazy hair day for Amy…. in case you weren’t sure it was inspired by The Hunger Games….

and the week Kevin bought the girls a (cheap) glass chess set and they have played many a game….

It was the week I walked Christy to school and got to see her “mini-me”….

and it was the week of drying scuba gear as Amy did more of her course….

It was the week that not only did the brakes fail on my bike, but the pedal fell off as well….

and Kevin had to come to our rescue….

Finally it was the week of exercise EVERY day…including a few walks….

It was the week that was ALL about the Iditarod…and not much else…

though I did manage to get a few things done mid-week when almost everyone took their complusory 24 rest at the same time….

It was the week Christy decided she was going to follow the Iditarod too and drew a photo of her favourite musher Aliy Zirkle winning the race… she’s currently coming first…

and the week I cut out all the nasty additives out of my diet and saw an immediate reduction in my arthritis pain… time will tell…

It was the week that started out with sunshine…

which meant I could hang my washing outdoors…

but then the rain and cold returned and it was time to make some pumpkin soup…

But the sun did return….and with it this most glorious sunset…

It was the week I attended the Hawks game by myself….

and had the most lovely day out in Berry with Paola….

It was the week Amy’s Hunger Games mockingjay pin arrived in the mail…. she’s just a “little” mad about the books and upcoming movie…

and the week we got a few double yolker eggs..unfortunately this one split….

It was the week of fried rice…

nachos…

and chocolate zucchini bread…

And it was the week of pups looking out the window…

assisting Nan with the weeding…

recovering from a bike run (as Nan & Pop have gone away in the caravan for 3 weeks)….

and making us laugh….

The Iditarod should finish on Wed….then life will return to normal…. until next March….

It was the week that Christy headed off for a school camp….and boy was it quiet around here…

and the week she put this sign on her bedroom door…

It was the week of fresh flowers in the house….after a long absence….

And a week of lots of rain….

It was the week Kevin bought Christy a basketball hoop…

and I made a trip to the library and came home with all these books…

It was the week of Amy’s birthday…

and a shopping outing with Christy…

and the week Amy started her scuba diving course.

It was the week Christy received a letter from Hogwarts…. inviting her to go to school there :-)….

she wrote it all by herself….

It was the week I started counting down to the start of the Iditarod and watched the ceremonial start on Sunday morning…

It was the week of a few small organisational projects…

It was the week I started work on my blanket again…

and the week Christy and I had a movie night – watching Lassie with the pups….

It was the week of vegetarian cottage pie…

sweet potato frittata….

and quesadillas….

And always there was puppies being cute….
