Day 2 of our weekend away started very slowly and with a workout in the gym, which as you can see I had to myself.
It has been a long time since I used an eliptical so it kicked my butt.
When we were finally ready for the day we headed to the Old Bus Depot Markets.
I didn’t buy much in the crafty area, but I did buy a candle from this stand.
We sampled so much amazing food, but planned to come back tomorrow to buy fresh foods.
We had some lunch (I had rice paper rolls and Kevin had a chicken satay stick, which he said was the best he’s ever had), then headed down to the lake for our Segway tour.
We had a bit of time to kill so we sat under the trees…
and enjoyed the view….
Then it was time to done our helmets and go for a ride. I was pleased how quickly it all came back (since my first ride in Alaska 2.5 years ago).
This wasn’t actually a guided tour but a chance to ride around Canberra and see the sights.
As you can see I was vlogging.
We did the tour hour tour. Lots of fun (except my feet got really sore from standing still – I think I wore the wrong shoes).
It was still early in the day so we decided to head back into the Canberra Center to pick up a few things we didn’t get last night.
Like the iced tea set we had ummed and ahhed about in T2.
Then it was back home for a relaxing evening.
Dinner was some salad from Sumo Salad that we’d bought when we were out.
Man that salad looks yum, the tour looks like fun too 🙂
what fun! Its always nice to see my little city through the eyes of someone else!
