I can’t tell you how excited I was to write 1st November…. beacause that means that THIS MONTH we go to DISNEYWORLD!!!!

I actually forgot it was a day in my life when I first got up around 5am but my morning was exactly the same as it always is. Dogs out, pain med taken, tea made and YouTube watched. Kevin was down about 6.30am and waited for Amy, who was still getting ready.

Rosie made herself comfortable, more-or-less on my lap.

While I tried to reduce the number of subscriptions in google reader. Now that I’m watching so much YouTube I don’t have time to read all the blogs I’d like. Sorry to all my friends whose blogs I’m behind on reading. I promise I will get to read them eventually.

At 8am I went up to check on Christy and found her asleep and feeling unwell. I left her to sleep some more, hoping she’d be feeling up to school later.

Next I went to check on Amy’s room. Can’t say I was too impressed.

10mins later it looked a lot better.

I had planned to walk the dogs but I did something to my ankle last night and didn’t want to risk aggrevating it.

Next was bath time for me and and pups, yep, we all get in together. Mainly because I have to leave on their shampoo for 10mins so I have my shower, then rinse them off. Luckily we have a big shower!

Afterwards, they look a bit skinnier, and not so impressed.

Then it’s playtime while I clean up the bathroom and get dressed.

Time for some make-up.

I went back to check on Christy but she still wasn’t feeling well. I spotted the family of blackbirds. This time  the 2 babies and both parents.

I left Christy to sleep some more and went to water the veggie garden as it’s supposed to be hot today.

Then I made my breakfast. I was excited to find these bagel thins at the shops yesterday but I didn’t read the label properly and though they were nice, I won’t be rebuying them :-(.

I made a few phone calls.

Then made some french toast for Christy who had finally come downstairs.

Time to brush the dogs. Boy, was Bailey fuffy.

And hang out todays washing, as I was watched by Lucy the Chook.

I then went to work on Project Declutter (video tomorrow). Then it was time for some lunch, trying a new mushroom burger – which was quite nice.

It was feeling a bit warm so I check the temperature and it was 32degrees so I put the air conditioner on.

Christy spent the afternoon watching a Harry Potter documentary and doing some colouring with her new pencil set.

I spent a bit of time watching YouTube and unsubscribing from some mailing lists.

Before doing a bit more work on Project Declutter. I didn’t have to pick Amy up today  as she was going to the library after school and Kevin was getting her from there.

Around 5pm I trimmed the dog foot fluff – see the difference!

And bought in the washing.

Kevin and Amy arrived home and Kevin made himself a drink.

I got the pups their dinner.

And made tacos for Amy and I. Kevin had leftover noodles and Christy made her version of nachos (which is just corn chips and cheese).

Since Kevin had already eaten, we decided to have a casual dinner on the lounge….

while watching home movies from our 2002 trip to Disneyworld.  Yep, that’s Christy and Pluto.

It was so cute watching the girls as babies/young kids.

I think we headed up to bed around 9pm after I had cleaned the kitchen. Gee, I just realized there is only just one more day in my life to write before our trip. It’s crazy how fast the time is going.

 

Kevin had to get up early at 4am but luckily enough I managed to get back to sleep until around 6am.

Eventually I got up and made a cup tea.

Then at 7.20am I got dressed and drove Amy up to the bus stop. Came home and striped the bed to wash the sheets.

Bailey likes to roll on them, trying to get our smells on him. Too strange.

Christy was home sick so I spent time tidying the house.

And got the dishwasher unpacked and repacked. As you can see there was quite a bit waiting to go on so I actually put the load on already.

Time for some breakfast and my medication.

I then hung out the sheets. And even though it was already hot (finally) the dogs chose the lie in the sun.

While outside I watered the veggie garden.

and thought how much I might enjoy a swim later (never happened).

Time to take the dogs for a walk before it gets too hot.

I managed to caputre this gorgeous bird just as it took off.

Back home and on with more chores. I emptied and cleaned the bins.

And watered the front pot plants.

And emptied the dishwasher…again…

I got a call from Mum to come and help them get the caravan through the front gates. When I got back the dogs were barking at the gate.

Time to have a green smoothie and sit outside with my feet up for a bit. Even though it was hot we seemed to have a nice breeze through the house.

We were out of bread so I headed down to the bakery, with my mate.

All stocked up now.

Christy got to work making herself some lunch.

And I prepared a salad with some leftover rice salad and mexe-beans. Yum.

I then played around on my laptop for a while and got quite excited when I saw our disneyworld ticker. The weeks are going by so fast.

I relaxed for a bit and wanted to get up, but Rosie was all settled beside me.

Eventually she moved and I was free to get up. Time for another tea and some dark chocolate.

I then bought in the sheets and went and made up the bed.

Amy arrived home and I watched YouTube while doing the ironing.

When Kevin got home he had a couple of parcels for me. Our Disneyworld photopass…

and a big stack of magazines….which get delivered to our US Postal address.

Time to collect the chicken eggs and take them some food.

Dinner was a really easy one tonight. A quorn fillet, potato, corn and some green veggies (not photographed).

Then I had to get changed….

and head out to the school P&C meeting.

Luckily it didn’t go too late tonight and Kevin & Amy were just heading to bed when I got back at 9pm.  I made a cup of tea to enjoy with a chia fruit roll.

I was naughty and had this in bed. It was still warm so the pups were sleeping on the cold bathroom tiles.

I read till about 10pm, enjoying my nice freshly made bed.

 

How it can be the end of September I have no idea! It’s just 8 weeks now till our Disneyworld trip – that’s crazy. After our day at the theatre yesterday we had a lazy, and I mean LAZY, day on Sunday.

I still woke up early though, around 5.30am I think. That’s when the sun is up at the moment (next week we move to daylight savings time). It’s been cool again so it’s back into my Winter dressing gown.

Spent the morning watching YouTube and enjoying a cup, or two, or tea.

Eventually Kevin came down and joined me.

Later I made us breakfast – cheese and hummus quesadillas.

Kevin joined the girls in the scrapbook room to play World of Warcraft. Which is what the 3 of them did pretty much all day.

I headed upstairs to make the bed and have a shower. Dressed for a lazy day at home.

I watered the veggie garden.

And hung out the washing.

And made some pikelets for morning tea.

Then it was onto planning our Disneyworld trip – which is what I did for most of this lazy Sunday.

Lunch was leftovers from last night.

Which Kevin and I enjoyed while taking a break from our computers. We watched a few episodes of RBT.

Then back to planning.

As the day drew to a close I collected the chickens eggs. We got home after dark yesterday so this was 2 days worth. As you can see I also threw them some old bread.

I also bought the washing in and started dinner for the dogs.

It was just Kevin and I tonight as the girls were having dinner at Nan & Pop’s (and Amy is sleeping over). Kevin still had leftovers to eat so I just made myself some brown rice, mexe-beans and cheese, topped with lettuce and sour cream. So easy and so yummy.

To end our “busy” day we watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad. We are really loving this show. We headed to bed around 9pm and I read a few pages before almost dropping my kindle on my face, which meant it was time to go to sleep.

 

 

Managed to sleep in till 6am this morning.

Christy was up early and sent Kevin off to walk with a cuddle (Amy was already in the car).

I showered and got dressed while Christy made french toast for her breakfast.

I had half a bagel with spreadable cheese & tomato.

After Christy left for school on her bike…

I hung the washing I had put on earlier…

Then headed out for a walk with the dogs. My arthritis has been acting up this week but I felt better today.

After so many walks last week I have only managed 2 this week :-(.

Not a cloud in the sky today.

I dropped the pups in at Mum’s, had a chat and then set off in the car.

First stop was Gloria Jeans for a skim iced chocolate. Not having too many these days so it’s a treat when I have one (even without the cream).

Then to K-mart where I got some storage baskets and a few other organisational goodies.

Then to my beauticians for a very delightful facial. Bliss….. Oh, and I’ve got eyebrows again :-).

Back on the road home.

With a stop to pick up Subway for lunch.

And to check out this gift store (that I don’t get to visit very often now I have a new hairdressers).

Back home I found the path to the driveway blocked as Nan & Pop were busy grooming our shrubs.

I collected the dogs and sat outside to enjoy my lunch.

The dogs did a bit of sunbaking.

Then I actually headed into the scrapbook room and worked on last years December album. Thought it might be a good idea to get it finished before this December.

The dogs had a nap.

At 3pm I headed out to pick Amy up from the bus stop. On the way back we passed Christy and collected her school bag.

The afternoon was spent with my laptop. Christy and Amy made some wreath things Christy had learnt at school.

The girls had dinner at Nan & Pops (being Friday night) so I had a nice bath (arthritis starting to act up again), before making an easy dinner – quorn honey soy stirfry.

While it was cooking I made some overnight oats for Kevin & I to have tomorrow.

Then time to have dinner while watching Breaking Bad.

We went to bad about 10pm (late for us) and I read a little of one of the anti-inflammatory books I bought this week.
