It’s a dogs life

I’m still feeling under the weather but yesterday I managed to get my house cleaned (downstairs anyway) & get some groceries. I also managed to take the pups to the local dog park so they could stretch their legs.

It was such a lovely day out and we all enjoyed a walk around on the green grass.

Later in the evening we had a little flower wreath photo wearing.

Then today, after a trip to the pet shop to get a new halti for Rosie, there were some new toys to play with. I did buy two but they always seem to want the one the other has.

After two days of fun, it’s off the vets for needles tomorrow :-).

Weekend Delights

We had absolutely stunning weather this weekend. It was even warm enough for me to dig out 3/4 pants. On Saturday morning I took the pups down to the lake and let them have a swim.

Then on Sunday Kevin & I took them to the local dog beach. They have the best time here. Bailey runs all over the beach and Rosie has fun swimming out for her ball. She is quiet fearless.

It was lovely spending time on the beach…

and feeling the sand between my toes…

Makes me keen for the days to be hot enough so I can take a dip in the ocean…..

It’s a puppy party

On Friday Bailey turned 5 and on Monday Rosie turns 7, so on Sunday we had a puppy party. Only people were invited but the pups had lots of fun getting new toys, and eating treats.

Rosie picked out which toy she wanted…

Bailey got the remaining one….

There were treats from Nan….

And party food for the guests….all made and organised by Amy….

Christy made special dog bones for the pups…. Don’t they look great?

We’re lucky these two have birthdays so close to one another. With our first two Goldies we always remembered Sam’s birthday (the day before Kevin’s), but always forgot Belle’s. But we’ve really only started using their birthdays as an excuse to have a little party in more recent years. If you have pets do you celebrate their birthdays?
