Homeward Bound

Got up bright and early at 4am. Had a quick shower and packed the car. We were on the road by 4.30am. Had a quick stop for a cup of tea (Amy got milk and a muffin). We didn’t stop again until 8.30am when we had some breakfast, then again at 10.30am when the girls had a play at McDonalds and we picked up an early lunch (to eat in the car) and this great place – organic and vegetarian food – yummo!!! So happy to see an alternative to the normal fast food stops (mind you this was in the same place as the McDonalds).

We arrived home just before 2pm with a big welcome from Rosie (and Nanny & Poppy). Spent the afternoon partly unpacking, getting some washing done, playing with Rosie and updating my blog from the last few days. Kevin is away on a motorbike weekend so I’ll haveĀ  quiet evening watching TV and will try not to go to sleep too early.

  1. Your trip looks amazing…….what an adventure! I loved your photos…….so glad you had such a great time and that you made it home safe!

  2. Libby, I have loved reading about your family trip and seeing all the photos – takes me back to 2006 when hubby and I visited the Gold Coast! I am looking forward to going back there thinner one day! So great that you all enjoyed yourselves, I’m jealous that the girls got to “drive” the Aquaduck! Would have loved that myself ha ha.
